GarrettCom enables multi-function, multi-protocol networking with highly integrated product offerings. The DynaStar family of industrial routers enable effective network integration for SCADA and process-control systems along with video surveillance, automation, revenue metering, and asset management applications.  These networks effectively mix serial and Ethernet, legacy and modern technologies onto one integrated Wide Area Network (WAN), with the flexibility of using private or carrier-provided fiber, digital leased line, frame relay, IP, Ethernet or MPLS-enabled backbone facilities.

GarrettCom's integrated networks conserve telecommunications costs for existing applications, eliminating costly and often obsolete dedicated leased lines to remote operations.  Once established, the core network makes it easy to add new applications with little incremental expense. 

The DynaStar platform incorporates multiple networking functions into a single device, reducing investment, space, cabling, maintenance and administration associated with multi-device solutions.  DynaStar products typically include serial device services, IP routing, Ethernet switching, Frame Relay concentration and digital circuit DSU/CSU interfaces.  Expanded capabilities can include bit-oriented protocol support, IP firewall and IP-VPN features, X.25 switching and various protocol mediation and gateway services.  In addition, DynaStar, as other GarrettCom Utility Networks products, offers substation-hardened power supply options, supporting DC inputs from 12V to 250v, thus eliminating external power converters required with commercial grade devices.
