Lee House
General Manager

Lee House is General Manager of GarrettCom, a wholly owned subsidiary of Belden as of December, 2010. GarrettCom is a business unit operating as a part of Belden's industrial solutions division. Lee has 19 years experience in R&D and product development, with a focus on LANs, WANs, and IP at companies including 3Com, IBM, and Jetstream Communications. Lee has developed telecom capital equipment as well as enterprise and consumer products, and has been successful in large companies as well as start-ups.  Lee spent five years as Vice President of Engineering at DiTech Networks where he led an engineering team to develop a new VoIP switch, Session Border Controller, and TDM voice processing platforms. Lee received both his Masters in Business Administration and his Masters in Electrical Engineering from Duke University. He also holds a BA from Rhodes College and a BSEE from Christian Brothers University.

Burt Hadlock
Vice President, Worldwide Sales

Burt has over 25 years of technology sales, marketing, and sales management experience. Prior to his current role as a Sales VP for GarrettCom he was the VP of Sales for Teltone Corporation, having served as V.P. of Sales for Sensory Networks. Prior to Sensory Networks, Burt held senior sales and marketing roles for Tundra Semiconductor, Vitesse Semiconductor and LSI Logic. Burt has provided consulting services in sales management, training and negotiating for several technology companies. Burt earned his B.S. from Plymouth State College in New Hampshire.

Peter Wood
Vice President of Operations

Peter Wood, born and raised in England, spent 14 years at Plessy Telecommunications in the UK, where he held key R&D, test engineering, and management positions for product lines including digital telephone systems, international accounting, and call processing. Since moving to the US, Peter has held engineering management positions at Data Products, Memorex, Raylan, and Nortel Networks/Promatory. Peter, who was Vice President of Engineering at GarrettCom from 1996 to 1999, returned to GarrettCom in 2001 as VP of  Engineering and Operations.

Mark Vaughan
Controller

Mark Vaughan has been with GarrettCom since 1997. He is a specialist in networked accounting systems in small and mid-sized businesses and manages GarrettCom’s treasury functions, inventory management, audits, accounting, and inventory. His 15 years experience in financial operations and consulting at firms including Anzac Computer Equipment, Sofabed Conspiracy stores, and ProMedics Data Corporation, much of which was in Southern California, prepared him for implementing and overseeing the systems necessary to provide the best possible service to GarrettCom’s distributor, system integrator and OEM customers.  Mark is a licensed tax preparer, and holds a BS degree in Accounting and Economics and a MBA from Utah State University.

Doug Thompson
Managing Director, GarrettCom Europe

Doug Thompson manages the European business operations for Magnum products. GarrettCom Europe headquarters are in Gosport, UK. With more than 20 years of sales management experience in companies including Silicon Graphics Ltd., Oracle Corporation UK Ltd., Nixdorf Computers Ltd., and Digital Microsystems Ltd., Doug has consistently led his teams to beat quota, while improving the operations side of the business. His organizational strengths and solid sales and management experience in the computing environment, with LAN experience stretching back to 1982, make him a key member of the GarrettCom team.
