    The Dymec products include hardened Class 1, Div 2 Serial and Ethernet Links Media Converters as well as five and nine port fiber optic Serial stars for connection of multiple devices in a convenient "hub and spoke" topology.

    Dymec Links Media Converters are Class 1, Div 2 certified for use in hazardous locations in the US and Canada. The Class 1, Div 2 certification mark allows use of Dymec Links in ignitable environments requiring spark-free operation. This is a requirement for many customers, particularly those in petroleum and petrochemical applications, where hazardous ignitable environments abound.

    Dymec Optical Stars are ideal for Master/Slave polling applications such as multiple meters, relays and other statistical devices as well as broadcasting IRIG-B to multiple devices where fiber offers extended range and isolation from interference. Optical Stars also allow you to take one or more devices out of service while all others continue to operate. This is invaluable in most applications.
